Synopsis
Itto, a young woman from a modest rural background, is slowly adapting to the Moroccan upper-middle-class codes of her husband’s family. But when supernatural events put the country in a state of emergency, Itto finds herself separated from her husband and new family. Alone, pregnant and looking for her way back, she finds emancipation.

About the Director
Born in Casablanca, Sofia Alaoui split her childhood between Morocco and China. After studying in Paris, she settled in Casablanca in 2015 and directed two documentaries, 'Children of Nablus', and 'Les vagues ou rien, and the fiction shorts, 'Le rêve de Cendrillon', and 'Ghost Mode'. Her most recent short film, 'So What if the Goats Die', won the Grand Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival in 2020, the 2021 Prix du Syndicat Français de la Critique de Cinéma, the 2021 Jury Prize at Paris Courts Devant, and the 2021 César Award for Best Short Film. After a short film commissioned by Hulu for a horror series, she directed her first feature, 'Among Us', produced by Wrong Film and Srab Films in France, which is currently in post-production.
