Improvisation is the accomplishment of an action without any preparation.

So improvisation is the act of elaborating, imagining and improvising a story around a given theme, taking into account the requirements of a given task. For the actor, it is the moment where he is a director, playwright, set designer and performer: He plays for a public without any predefined text, without prior thought mise-en-scene – all under his inspiration. Improvisation allows then the development of the creativity, the ability to listen and to exchange.

The principles that control the behavior of the improviser (actor) are to present, lead, construct, play the game, prepare oneself for the game, listen, collide, innovate, laugh and dare. All this is achieved through corporal expression and movement in which encouragement, communication, team unity, self-confidence and creativity are the main goals.
Tunisian actress, Afef Ben Mahmoud will guide you through the intricacies of improvisation and movement in this 4 week course.
