Synopsis

The sympathetic story of Oliver, a fundamentally decent man who is more than happy to shoulder the weight of other people’s problems. Working as a team leader at the central warehouse for a major online retailer, he routinely pressures management to protect the rights of his co-workers. Unable to help his friend who is about to be fired, Oliver is overcome with a sense of guilt because of the tragic consequences. His wife Laura appears to be battling some form of depression herself, but does her best to hide it from Oliver.

Clearly troubled and without warning, one day Laura leaves Oliver, her children, and job. Laura's abandonment and the unhappiness of his colleagues at certain working conditions, make it evident to the principled Oliver that even though he might try, he cannot fix the world's problems. Left alone to juggle work and single-parenting, Oliver finds new meaning in his life with the help of his kids in a story about finding contentment in even the most unconventional of family circumstances.
