Variety Arabia

In collaboration between the Doha Film Institute (DFI) and the National Institute of Cinema and Audio-visual Arts, films produced in the Arab region were showcased at the Arab Cinema Week in Buenos Aires. A selection of ten filmmakers from Egypt, Morocco, Lebanon, Tunisia, UAE and Qatar presented their films in Argentina (June 23 and 29).

In addition to film screenings, the program also included co-production forums and networking events promoting the Arab films and encouraging business relationships within the film industries in both regions. As a curator of the event, DFI selected five features and five short films from across the region. Three of which were produced by the institute itself.
