The Doha Film Institute (DFI) is marking a strong presence for Qatar at the ongoing Cannes Film Festival by hosting key industry events aimed at promoting Arab cinema to global audiences.

The events organised by the DFI, which is celebrating its first anniversary, are also intended to foster greater awareness about the increasing emergence of creativity, storytelling and artistic expression from the region.
The programme included an industry welcome brunch, a MENA (Middle East and North Africa) industry gathering, a producers’ network breakfast and a film institute round-up.
