The Institute
Central to DFI’s mission is the creation of original and compelling multi-platform content: television, online, and films.
Using our own in-house production unit, collaborations with foreign filmmakers and rising talent from our educational programmes, we develop and produce original stories for the web, television, radio and film. A DFI commissioning team coordinates with regional and international artists to create the projects, which also open up training and internship opportunities for its film students. DFI believes in encouraging trainees to assist on professional work as soon as possible to better prepare them for the challenges of storytelling across all platforms.
