Film fans in Qatar became the first audience in the world to view Black Gold at the opening of Doha Tribeca Film Festival last night, where the film received positive reviews from the majority of viewers, who expressed their particular excitement at seeing the scenes shot on location in Qatar.

The Hollywood epic, directed by Jean Jacques Annaud and co-produced by Doha Film Institute and Quinta Communications, made its world premiere with a public screening at the Katara Open Air Theatre.
