Oxy Qatar is Principal Partner of Inaugural Ajyal Youth Film Festival

Doha, Qatar; November 7, 2013: Occidental Petroleum of Qatar Ltd. (Oxy Qatar) has joined forces with the Doha Film Institute to become the Principal Partner of the Ajyal Youth Film Festival.

Demonstrating its commitment to supporting the local community and promoting the cultural strengths of Qatar, Oxy Qatar will be one of the top-tier partners of the Film Festival, to be held from November 26 to 30, 2013, at The Cultural Village Katara.

By partnering with the Doha Film Institute, Oxy Qatar is reinforcing its commitment to supporting the arts and culture in the communities where the company operates.

Steve Kelly, President and General Manager of Oxy Qatar, said: “As an active contributor to Qatar’s economic growth, Oxy Qatar continues to reaffirm its commitment to the community. Our partnership with the Doha Film Institute for the inaugural Ajyal Youth Film Festival was developed with the goal of benefiting families and the local community by promoting cultural life.”

Ajyal Youth Film Festival builds on the Doha Film Institute’s history of community-based programming.
