Kuwaiti Director Walid Alawadi and Actor Saad Al Faraj Share Skills on How to Create Compelling On-Screen Performances
Doha, 2 July, 2013: Doha Film Institute’s (DFI) Gulf Film Development will be hosting a special three hour acting and directing masterclass following the screening of the award-winning film ‘Tora Bora’, with the director Walid Alawadi and lead actor Saad Al Faraj, on Saturday 6th July at the Qatar Theater Group.
The masterclass, which is open to all aspiring filmmakers, including those that have a passion for theatre and dramatic arts, and the new generation of filmmakers and actors, will address key issues on how directors and actors work together to create compelling performances on screen.
Kuwaiti born director of the box office hit ‘Tora Bora’, Walid Alawadi and the renowned actor Saad Al Faraj, whose remarkable performance earned him Best Actor at the 2012 Cairo International Film Festival, both have a great deal of experience in their fields, are highly respected Gulf filmmakers and promise to share with participants a number of key skills to help build convincing performances for the big screen.

This is a great opportunity for aspiring filmmakers locally and across the GCC to gain an in-depth understanding on how to develop skills for film and on-screen performances and take notes from two very experienced artists.”
