What We Provide:

Dedicated Space
Each registered game developer will receive their very own booth measuring (Length= 2m, Width=2m, Hight=2.4m) set up and demo their game. This space will be your blank creative canvas, which you can brand to reflect your game’s unique identity.

Exhibition Essentials
We’ll equip your space with one table and two chairs, providing you with the perfect setup to engage with eager visitors.

Badges
You’ll also receive two badges to ensure easy access throughout Geekdom 2024.

Power and Electrical Outlet
We’ll also provide you with the necessary power and an electrical outlet, so your gaming setup runs seamlessly.

Participation Fee:
For the entire duration of Geekdom (10 days), the participation fee is 500 QAR.

CONCESSION LICENSE AGREEMENT Geekdom 2024

  1. DFI is a non-profit, non-governmental and non-political organization dedicated to establishing the State of Qatar as a major international, cultural, artistic and educational center.
  2. DFI is organizing the “Geekdom Event” (from 15 February 2024 until 24 February 2024 to showcase games by local developers.
  3. The Exhibitor has been officially selected by DFI to showcase their games at the Exhibition, subject to the terms and conditions set out in this Agreement.

IT IS HEREBY AGREED as follows:

  1. LICENSE
    1. DFI hereby grants to the Exhibitor the limited right, non-exclusive license and permission to:
      1. participate in the Exhibition, specifically to showcase their game to the public for the duration of the Exhibition; and
      2. offer such game and any merchandise for sale to the public.
  2. TERM 
    1. This Agreement shall be deemed to commence with effect from the Effective Date and shall continue in full force and effect until both Parties have fulfilled all of their obligations hereunder. 
    2. In the event that the Exhibitor is a no-show or cancels its participation in the Exhibition, DFI shall be entitled to charge the Exhibitor a cancellation fee of QAR 3,000.00 (three thousand Qatari Riyals).
  3. EXHIBITOR’S OBLIGATIONS
    1. The Exhibitor shall be responsible for all costs incurred in relation to shipping and/or delivery of its game exibit to and from Geekdom, Lusail Boulevard, Qatar. All game exhibits must be delivered to such a location by 12 February 2024 and any submissions that fail to meet this deadline may not be considered for display as part of the Exhibition.
    2. DFI shall be under no obligation to reimburse the Exhibitor for any costs, fees and/or expenses of any nature whatsoever (including without limitation transport, hotel, meal or subsistence) incurred by the Exhibitor in relation to participating at the Exhibition.
    3. Under no circumstances shall DFI be responsible for any loss and/or damage of any nature whatsoever incurred by the Exhibitor during the Exhibition.
  4. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
    1. The Exhibitor represents and warrants to DFI that: (i) the Exhibitor has the right, power, and authority necessary to enter into the Agreement and fully perform its obligations hereunder; and (ii) all game exhibits to be displayed at the Exhibition by the Exhibitor, will not infringe on the copyrights or moral rights of any third parties.
    2. The Exhibitor ensures that its game exhibit is not in any manner pornographic in nature, likely to defame any third party, or likely to violate a law of the State of Qatar.
    3. The Exhibitor will indemnify, defend and hold harmless DFI  and its respective affiliates, subsidiaries, officers, directors, employees and representatives, from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, and expenses of any nature whatsoever, arising from or relating to a breach by the Exhibitor of its representations and warranties contained herein. The Exhibitor’s obligations as set forth in this paragraph, shall survive the expiration or termination of this Agreement.
  5. GOVERNING LAW 
    The terms of this Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Qatar, and the Parties hereby irrevocably submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of the State of Qatar, which shall have exclusive jurisdiction in the determination of all matters arising under it. 

DFI not responsible for games, material etc
