Synopsis
Kenan is a reclusive toll booth attendant living with his ailing father. His lonely, humdrum life takes a dramatic turn when the newly appointed toll booth manager visits and relocates him, leading to a darkly comedic tale of miscommunication, isolation and father/son conflict.
About the Director
Born in Istanbul in 1981, Tolga Karaçelik obtained a Law degree from Marmara University and studied film in New York City. He wrote and directed five acclaimed shorts including “Rapunzel” which won the Soho International Film Festival Audience Award and represented Turkey at the Berlinale and Cannes in 2010. He was the DOP for Mehmet Güreli’s “Istanbul Through the Eyes of World Authors”. “Toll Booth” is his debut feature film.
