Synopsis
Created in DFI’s Short Documentary Lab with Rithy Panh, ‘Fever Dream’ is a documentary about a reality that is stranger than fiction. Sick with the coronavirus, a couple films themselves in a Qatari quarantine facility—a 20th-floor suite in a five-star hotel with a sea view and sealed windows. From this gilded (and hermetically sealed) cage, the pair look down on the live stream of cars and people below them. Suspended between realities, they pretend to participate in the passing of time as everyone’s fate hangs in the balance.
