"I make films that get under my skin and don't let me go," she said. While she initially gained fame for Monsoon Wedding, about a family's wedding in Delhi, she aims to tell stories that cross borders.
Amelia, which is Nair's 12th film, will screen on opening night at the Doha Tribeca Film Festival.
