Doha Film Institute is an independent, not- for-profit cultural organisation. It supports the growth of the local film community through cultivating film appreciation, enhancing industry knowledge and contributing to the development of sustainable creative industries in Qatar. The Institute’s platforms include funding and production of local, regional and international films; skills-sharing and mentorship programmes; film screenings; the Ajyal Youth Film Festival; and Qumra. With culture, community, learning and entertainment at its foundation, the Institute is committed to supporting Qatar’s 2030 vision for the development of a knowledge-based economy.
The Doha Film Institute’s Sandbox is an interactive and collaborative space that inspires and entertains cinema lovers of all ages with the latest in film and digital technologies and a selection of interactive installations, educational games, apps, new digital creative tools and hands-on production activities from Doha and around the world during the Ajyal Youth Film Festival.
For the upcoming Sandbox edition (29 November to 5 December, 2015) we are actively seeking new and exciting content, with specific interest in the latest in holographic and anamorphic art, projection mapping, and augmented and virtual reality. We are also interested in any other innovative interactive concepts, especially those related to cinema and the film industry, that are yet to be showcased in Doha.

If you have a project you believe would be a fit for Sandbox, we would like to hear from you!
Your proposal should include at minimum:
- A full description and/or video representation that best showcases the project
- Communication coordinates of the provider (company or individual names, addresses, email, telephone)
- Suggested business terms (licences, installation, crew etc.)
- Dimensions (space requirements – Length, Width, Height)
- Availability and lead times
- Special requirements (if applicable)
