Upon hearing about the myth of falling stars, an orphan’s hope of reuniting with his parents is restored. When night falls on Al-Wakrah village, he sneaks out to the beach with his stepbrother. He realises things have not gone as planned, however, when he wakes up the next morning and his stepbrother is nowhere to be found.

About the Director

Amal Al-Muftah was born in Doha in 1994. She started making films in high school, including ‘Al-Kora’ (2013) and the award-winning ‘Alhamali’ (2014). After graduating from high school, she enrolled in Northwestern University in Qatar’s Communications programme. During her first year there, she worked on ‘Smicha’ (2016) with Innovation Films, and ‘Eh fe Amal’ (2015). Her third narrative film, ‘Sh’hab’, is currently in development.
