Synopsis

About the Director

Robert Zemeckis was born in 1952, in Chicago. In film school, he won a Student Academy Award. His breakthrough came in 1984 with ‘Romancing the Stone’, which he followed with the ‘Back to the Future’ trilogy (1985, 1989, 1990) as well as ‘Who Framed Roger Rabbit’ (1988) and ‘Death Becomes Her’ (1992). In 1994, he won the Academy Award for Best Director for ‘Forrest Gump’, starring Tom Hanks. He helmed the HBO series ‘Tales from the Crypt’ from 1989 to 1996. He teamed up with Hanks for a second time on ‘Cast Away’ in 2000.
