Synopsis
A crime drama about Jacky Vanmarsenille, a young Limburg cattle farmer who is approached by an unscrupulous veterinarian. He is encouraged to make a shady deal with a notorious West Flemish beef trader which challenges the ethical boundaries of the beef industry. A confrontation with a secret from Jacky’s past sets in motion a chain of events with far-reaching consequences.
About the Director
Michaël R. Roskam was born in Belgium in 1972. He studied painting at Brussels’ St Lukas Academy of Fine Arts. His passion led to filmmaking and he participated in Amsterdam’s Binger Lab script development programme in 2005. He directed several internationally awarded short films including “The One Thing To Do”, “Carlo” and “Haun”. He teaches at the St. Lukas Film School in Brussels.
