AJYAL STUDIO Your Family Weekend experience begins at the Ajyal Studio. Located on the Esplanade in the Cultural Village Katara, the Ajyal Studio offers a whole load of exciting events and activities. Be part of our behind-the-scenes filmmaking experience. Quiet on the set! Lights! Camera! Action! Movie Experience Get the star treatment and be the lead in a blockbuster movie, complete with movie poster and face painting that will transform you into your favourite movie star for the day. Sound Effects Get hands-on experience in movie dubbing and sound effects. Create, animate and learn how to give your own voice to your movie character, or get a behind-the-scenes look at how to create sound effects for a movie scene. Action Zone Learn the ‘Matrix’ stunts and much more with professional stunt man Zed Korschoonoff, who will train you in some basic stunt moves and demonstrate how to create the ‘wahoo’ moments from the movies. 29 November, 2:00 PM – 11:00 PM 30 November, 2:00 PM – 8:00 PM Katara Esplanade AJYAL FAMILY WEEK- END EVENTS The Ajyal Family Weekend provides great opportunities for families to play, learn and enjoy a variety of exciting activities together. Anime tent Get your face painted to look like your favourite anime character for the day. You can also get henna tattoos with Japanese symbols and words. Hataraky: Make it Move ‘Hataraky’, meaning ‘motion’ in Japanese, will let you explore simple animation techniques using inspiration from Gaming Centre Fifty One East and Sony present a dedicated tent for gaming with the latest video games. Get a sneak peek of the upcoming PlayStation 4. Hip Hop Workshop Doha based dance group The Mighty Jokerz crew will conduct a fun workshop taking participants through the latest hip-hop dance moves and a choreographed routine. Car Simulator The Qatar International Safety Center car simulator is part of the One Second road-safety campaign. It will teach children from the ages of 12 to 18 the basics of road safety with special guest Salam Al Khater, GT Academy Middle East winner. Ajyal Stage There will be music, dance, shows and performances from talented local youth and internationals talents – and a whole bunch of other surprises.
