We wanted to create a festival site dedicated to aspirant and established cinemaphiles, so before you even start your unique DTFF experience on October 29, you'll know exactly what not to miss in Doha - from the film festival program to the best sheesha in town.

Amanda Palmer leads the inaugural Doha Tribeca Film Festival (DTFF) and is Head of Entertainment for Al Jazeera English, where she has created, produced, directed and presented the network’s flagship arts and educational programming.
Her
award-nominated travel series, “48,” and her acclaimed
international film program, “The Fabulous Picture Show,” have established her as a leading cultural commentator and afforded her international recognition for her unwavering support of international and independent filmmakers.
Before joining Al Jazeera English in 2005, Palmer worked for Channel Seven network in Australia and London, as well as CNN and Associated Press TV. She received her bachelor of arts in journalism from Sydney's University of Technology, and also studied theater and music.
Palmer currently serves on Qatar’s National Film Committee.
