We have been searching Doha high and low for the past few weeks to find a really talented band. Our search is finally over and we’re ready to take this process to the next level.

DFI is offering students in Doha the opportunity to learn how to make a music video featuring original music from a local band. Students will learn everything from the history of music videos to writing treatments for their own ideas to producing a high end music video. Students will be mentored through the process of idea development and will eventually pitch their ideas to the band. The band will select the music video they feel will represent them the best.

When the film is selected the entire group will form the crew for this shoot. Students will be assigned roles in Directing, Camerawork, Lighting, Producing and other on set roles. During the workshop the music video will be shot and edited. So we will see in a short span of time, an idea transform from concept to realization.

This will a fun, high energy workshop empowering students with the skills to make their own films and simultaneously creating a platform to showcase Doha’s local musicians.

Note: You will be introduced to the band and the band’s music on acceptance into the workshop.
